How to choose the best service for shipping chilled and frozen goods?

Preserving food naturally through chilling or freezing is an excellent option to maintain quality and extend product shelf life, especially for fresh food items that rely on cold temperatures to inhibit the growth of bacteria and various microorganisms.

While Inter Express offers comprehensive services, including general cargo and chilled-frozen product delivery, many of you may wonder why Inter Express provides as many as three chilled and frozen delivery options: foam box delivery, cold paper box delivery, and pack-and-ship services.
Today, Inter Express would like to recommend how to choose the right delivery service for all your products.

Foam Box Shipping Service (INTER FOAM)

For foam box shipping, customers only need to add appropriate cooling agents for a 1-2 day delivery period and place their goods into the foam box. Once this is done, the items can be brought to Inter Express for shipping. This service is ideal for customers who are familiar with packing goods in foam boxes and can accurately estimate the amount of cooling agents required for their products and the delivery duration.

This service is suitable for products with sealed packaging, such as bottled fruit juice, vacuum-packed seafood, odorous goods, and pharmaceuticals.

Caution: Cooling agents should be securely and sufficiently packed for the entire delivery period, as this will affect the quality of the products inside the box or may lead to damage.

Cool Cardboard Box Shipping Service (INTER COOL)

The Cool Cardboard Box Shipping service is convenient and cost-effective because customers do not need to add any cooling agents inside the box. Pricing is determined by the volume and weight of the goods.

For this service, Inter Express recommends products such as cut fruits, various premium fruits with excellent packaging, and vacuum-sealed processed foods.

Caution: Choose boxes with a thickness of 3 layers or more and with moisture-resistant properties to prevent the box from becoming wet or damaged during transit.

Pack and Ship Service (INTER PACK)

The Pack and Ship service is ideal for new entrepreneurs starting to sell chilled or frozen products. Customers simply need to pre-cool their items for at least 8 hours before bringing them to Inter Express. Our staff will assist customers with packaging, using the same standards as for pharmaceutical products. Therefore, customers can be confident that their goods will be properly temperature-controlled throughout transit, and the recipient will receive the products in the same condition as when they were dropped off at the origin.

Products suitable for this service include breast milk, ice cream, and various raw materials. However, the Pack and Ship service is only available at select branches. Customers can check the available branches here.

For all three services, customers can choose to ship either chilled or frozen items, depending on their convenience and packing expertise. Inter Express has summarized the details for each service as follows:

Inter Express Chilled and Frozen Goods Shipping Services

For chilled and frozen goods shipping services at Inter Express, we maintain temperature control from the origin to the recipient. Once goods are successfully entered into our system, Inter Express places them into chilled or frozen rooms according to the customer's specified temperature. Food products, meats, and other items are separated from pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to comply with government-mandated standards.

Subsequently, goods are transported to distribution centers in each region using temperature-controlled trailers or trucks. The temperature inside these vehicles is monitored by temperature sensors and continuously checked in real-time by staff 24 hours a day, ensuring that the temperature for the goods remains within the appropriate range.

Upon arrival at other distribution centers, goods continue to be stored in chilled or frozen cabinets before being loaded into insulated pickup trucks for final delivery to recipients, following the operational procedures of each service. Some recipients may also receive their goods via temperature-controlled vehicles or large temperature-controlled containers, such as Cool Containers.

Many of you will have experienced that Inter Express is committed to carefully maintaining the temperature of your goods throughout the shipping process to ensure efficient delivery to their destination. This is because we strive to provide the best possible shipping experience for our customers.
